Elvis Presley (Elvis Aaron Presley) was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, on 8 January 1935. He was an American singer, song producer and actor. Presley died in Memphis, Tennessee on 16 august, 1977. Elvis Presley was a poor boy from Tupelo, Mississippi.  At 18 years of age, Elvis walked into Sun Studios, a Memphis record company. Later he became the best-selling solo artist of all time in the United States with confirmed 189.2 million records in RIAA shipments. Later got famous for movies too. His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style, combined with a singularly potent mix of influences across color lines that coincided with the dawn of the Civil Rights Movement, made him enormously popular--and controversial. Elvis Presley won many awards from nations all over the world, but  he never performed outside the United States, except for three shows in Canada.
