Magic Chords - Learn to play the guitar in 50 days
A talented and very popular singer is the following participant on the Chords for Beginners blog. I’m talking about Michael Jackson. You have four of his best songs here with lyrics and the guitar chords. Michael Joseph Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana on August 29, 1958, and entertained audiences nearly his entire life.
🎸Post Content:
His father Joe Jackson had been a guitarist, but he gave
up his musical ambitions. By the early 1960s, the older boys Jackie, Tito and
Jermaine had begun performing around the city. By 1964, Michael and Marlon had
joined in and together they formed the Jackson 5. Michael's singing and dancing
talents were amazing, and he soon became the dominant voice and focus of the
troop.
At the age of 13, Jackson
launched a solo career in addition to his work with the Jackson 5. He made the
charts in 1971 with "Got to Be There" from the album of the same
name. Solo success for Michael Jackson was inevitable, and by the 1980s, he had become
infinitely more popular than his brotherly group. Michael Jackson is often
referred to as The King of Pop, he is the biggest-selling solo artist of all
time, with over 750,000,000 sales. Jackson is an inductee of the Songwriters
Hall of Fame, and double inductee to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. His
awards include 8 Guinness World Records, 13 Grammy Awards, and 26 Billboard
Awards. Have another one: Katy Perry chords

I took my baby on a Saturday bang
Boy is that girl with you
Yes we're one and the same
Boy is that girl with you
Yes we're one and the same

Now I believe in miracles

And a miracle has happened tonight

But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
G D G D G
G D G D G
It don't matter if you're black or white
D G D...
They print my message in the Saturday Sun
I had to tell them I ain't second to none
I had to tell them I ain't second to none
And I told about equality and it's true
Either you're wrong or you're right
Either you're wrong or you're right
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
It don't matter if you're black or white

I am tired of this devil, I am tired of this stuff
G D

I am tired of this business, so when the going gets rough

I ain't scared of your brother, I ain'ts scared of no sheets
G D
G D
I ain't scared of nobody, girl when the goin' gets mean
D
Protection for gangs, clubs, and nations,
Causing grief in human relations.
It's a turf war on a global scale,
I'd rather hear both sides of the tale.
See, it's not about races, just places, faces.
Where your blood comes from is where your space is.
I've seen the bright get duller,
I'm not going to spend my life being a color.
D G D...
Don't tell me you agree with me
When I saw you kicking dirt in my eye
When I saw you kicking dirt in my eye
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
It don't matter if you're black or white
I said if you're thinkin' of being my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
It don't matter if you're black or white
I said if you're thinkin' of being my brother
It don't matter if you're black or white
It don't matter if you're black or white
Ooh, ooh, yea, yea, yea now, ooh, ooh
Yea, yea, yea now
Yea, yea, yea now
It's black, it's white
It's tough for them to get by
It's black, it's white, whoo
It's tough for them to get by
It's black, it's white, whoo

How to play chords in "Michael Jackson" songs as a beginner?
While Michael Jackson is known for his iconic voice and dance moves, many of his songs feature strong, rhythmic guitar parts that are accessible to players of all levels.
Guitar chords for beginners: Michael Jackson |
One of the most popular songs to play on guitar is "Beat It," which features an iconic riff based on simple power chords like E, D, and C. The driving rhythm and powerful strumming pattern make it a great song to work on timing and energy. Plus, it’s fun to play along with the original track, capturing the rock vibe that Eddie Van Halen brought to the song. "Billie Jean" is another excellent choice, with its steady bassline and easy chord progression using Em, D, Am, C and B7 guitar chords. This song allows guitarists to focus on rhythm and groove, essential elements in Jackson's music.
"Black or White" is also fun to play, using open chords like D, A, and G. The song’s upbeat tempo and positive energy make it a great practice piece. Playing Michael Jackson’s songs on guitar helps guitarists develop rhythm, strumming techniques, and an understanding of how guitar fits into pop music's larger soundscape.
