UB40
are a British reggae/pop band formed in 1978 in Birmingham. They have proven
the power of pop-influenced reggae music. The band has placed more than 50
singles in the UK Singles Chart and has also achieved considerable
international success. One of the world's best-selling music artists,UB40 have
sold over 70 million records. The band is named from the paper form issued by
the UK government's Department of Health and Social Security at the time of the
band's formation for claiming unemployment benefit (UB40 = Unemployment
Benefit, Form 40). The early albums from 1981 are simply dreadful, but starting
with 1983's cover Of Neil Diamond's Red Red Wine they became best-sellers. More
albums from UB40: Geffery Morgan and Rat
In The Kitchen. After a long hiatus, the band returned with Promises And Lies,
an equally mediocre album, and an equally successful cover of an old Elvis
Presley hit, Can't Help Falling In Love. UB40 have made a name for themselves
as one of the most successful reggae acts in history. Stay with the my blog,

We will no longer hear your command
We will seize the control from your hand
We will fan the flame of our anger and pain
And you'll feel the shame for what you do in gods name

And we will build our own society
