in London (United Kingdom) an English mother and a Greek father. He studied at
the Royal College of Music, where he was a major prize-winner. He achieved fame in the duo Wham. As
songwriter and lead singer, Michael gradually overshadowed the group, and by
the time they split, he was ready for a massively successful solo career. Some of his
biggest hit singles as a solo artist include the single “Faith” taken from his
debut album Faith. The song became number one on both sides of the Atlantic.
“Careless Whisper” became one of the most played songs of the decade and voted
Londoner’s Favourite record of all time in January 1995. Michael has sold more
than 100 million records worldwide as of 2010, he was ranked the 40th most
successful artist on the Billboard Hot 100 Top All-Time Artists list.

C D C D
It's the one good thing that I've got
I won't let you down
So please don't give me up
Because I would really, really love to stick around
A G
Heaven knows I was just a young boy
D C D
Didn't know what I wanted to be
I was every little hungry schoolgirl's pride and joy
And I guess it was enough for me
To win the race? A prettier face!
Brand new clothes and a big fat place
On your rock and roll TV
But today the way I play the game is not the same
No way
Think I'm gonna get myself happy
Dm
I think
there's something you should know
F
I think
it's time I told you so
C
There's
something deep inside of me
G
There's
someone else I've got to be
Take back
your picture in a frame
Take back
your singing in the rain
I just
hope you understand
Sometimes
the clothes do not make the man
D
C
All we have to do now
G D
Is take these lies and make them true somehow
D
All we have to see
Is that I don't belong to you
And you don't belong to me
C D
Freedom, You've gotta give for what you take
Freedom, You've gotta give for what you take
A C
Heaven knows we sure had some fun boy
D C D
What a kick just a buddy and me
We had every big shot good-time band on the run boy
We were living in a fantasy
We won the race
Got out of the place
I went back home got a brand new face
For the boys on MTV
But today the way I play the game has got to change
Oh yeah
Now I'm gonna get myself happy
D m F C G...
I think
there's something you should know
I think
it's time I stopped the show
There's
something deep inside of me
There's
someone I forgot to be
Take back
your picture in a frame
Don't
think that I'll be back again
I just
hope you understand
Sometimes
the clothes do not make the man
D C
All we have to do now
G D
Is take these lies and make them true somehow
All we have to see
Is that I don't belong to you
And you don't belong to me
Freedom, You've gotta give for what you take
Freedom, You've gotta give for what you take
Dm
Well it looks like the road to heaven
F
But it feels like the road to hell
C
When I knew which side my bread was buttered
G
I took the knife as well
Posing for another picture
Everybody's got to sell
But when you shake your ass
They notice fast
And some mistakes were built to last
Dm F C G..
That's what you get
I say that's what you get
That's what you get for changing your mind
And after all this time
I just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes
Do not make the man
D C G D...
All we have to do now
Is take these lies and make them true somehow
All we have to see
Is that I don't belong to you
And you don't belong to me
Freedom, You've gotta give for what you take
Freedom, You've gotta give for what you take
D C G D
I'll hold on to my freedom
May not be what you want from me
Just the way it's got to be
Lose the face now
I've got to live.

Em Am Bm C
I feel so unsure as
I take your hand and lead you
Bm Em
To the dance floor; As
the music dies
Am Bm C
Something in your eyes
Calls to mind a silver
screen
Bm Em
And all it's sad goodbyes
Em Am
Bm
I'm never gonna dance again, Guilty feet have got no rhythm,
C Bm
Though it's easy to pretend, I know you're not a fool
Em
Should have known better than to cheat a friend
Am Bm
And waste the chance that I've been given
C
So I'm never gonna dance again
Bm
Em
The way I danced with you.
Em Am Bm
C...
Time can never mend
The careless whispers of a good friend
To the heart and mind
Ignorance is kind
There’s no comfort in the truth
Pain is all you'll find
Em Am Bm
C...
I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
Em Am Bm
C...
I should have known better than to cheat a friend
And waste the chance that I've been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you
Em Am Bm
C...
Tonight the music seems so loud
I wish that we could lose this crowd
Maybe it's better this way
We'd hurt each other with the things we'd wanna say
Em Am Bm C...
We could have been so good together
We could have lived this dance forever
But now who's gonna dance with me?
Please stay
Em Am Bm
C...
And I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
Em Am Bm
C...
I should have known better than to cheat a friend
And waste the chance that I've been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you
(Now that you're gone) Now that you're gone
(Now that you're gone) Was what I did so wrong, so wrong
That you had to leave me alone.
